Broughton Partners is proudly sponsoring TOPSoccer once again as the Fall 2022 season opens. This charity outreach program by South Georgia Tormenta FC lets differently abled children come together and develop their social skills, self-esteem, and sports talents. It empowers children to have fun in a warm, welcoming environment and become the best version of themselves.

TOPSoccer was created in 2019 to address the thousands of children across America with developmental disabilities. There were few sports programs for children around Savannah, so Broughton Partners CEO Cason Carter and Vice President of Tormenta FC Brad Nein launched the program to give these children a place to be comfortable and participate in the community.

Carter approached Tormenta FC with the idea after being disappointed by the lack of activities for special needs children in the area. Since then, families all across Georgia and South Carolina have come to participate in this experience and make memories to last a lifetime.

WHAT IS TOPSOCCER?

The Outreach Program for Soccer, or TOPSoccer, is a community-based charity event for special needs children meant to train participants, encourage improvement, and let them enjoy soccer with similar peers. Its goals are to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth of these youth without letting their disabilities hold them back.

TOPSoccer gives thousands of disabled children across America a place to be themselves and engage with the community through soccer. They develop the skills they need to succeed in life and have an unforgettable experience they’ll keep returning to.

TOPSOCCER DETAILS

Any boy or girl ages four to 17 with a physical or mental disability can participate in the program. Each session is accompanied by volunteer coaches, or Buddies, there to facilitate the event and guide players towards the best experience.

This is a community-based program, meaning there is no exclusivity on who can or can’t play. Any eligible participants are welcome to join regardless of experience and discover the benefits TOPSoccer offers.

DATES & LOCATIONS

The Fall 2022 season will be at two locations in Georgia and South Carolina, and registration is $30 per person, with a Tormenta FC jersey given to each player.

In addition, TOPSoccer night with Tormenta FC will be on October 15 at 7:30 PM. It is open to all TOPSoccer participants, and their parents will receive free tickets to see the game against the Chattanooga Red Wolves.
